  3. 03/10: She inspected each tomato, turning it gently toward the light. She chose the ones with the most scars.
  4. 04/10: “We have stopped buying commercial produce,” she explained. “It feels cleaner. More aligned. You can taste the ethical difference.”
  5. 05/10: Her basket looked beautiful. Honey. Beetroot. Kale. Validation arranged by colour.
  6. THE TELL: She reached inside for her keys. A silver packet slipped into view. Instant noodles, hidden beneath the leaves.
  7. 07/10: Her hand found them, tucked them back, and continued the sentence. Not a pause. Not a flinch. The rhythm of the conversation did not break.
  8. 08/10: The queue moved slowly. She held the basket by both handles. The leaves stayed arranged.
  9. 09/10: She joined the queue at the weighing station. The basket sat on the scale. The noodles did not register.
  10. THE MIRROR: The basket was photographed before she reached the car. The noodles did not appear in the image. The scale at the weighing station had already moved on.
