A Working Notebook
The Quiet Signal
Some things become clearer when you stop trying to make a conclusion out of them.
The Quiet Signal is where I leave notes from the edges of my work — things I notice while writing, publishing, listening and watching what people choose to stay with.
They are not essays trying to prove a point. They are observations still warm from experience: about attention, trust, reading, technology, people — and the small changes happening underneath all of them.
Some may eventually become larger ideas. Some may remain exactly what they are: a thought worth putting down before it disappears.
This is the notebook where I keep them.
Each asks for four quiet minutes. Nothing more.
