  2. 02/10: The laptop glowed in the dark living room. The wedding was eight weeks away. They were arranging their gift registry on a premium, invitation-only platform.
  3. 03/10: Imported dinnerware. A designer espresso machine. Belgian linen. Everything looked beautifully intentional. Nothing looked accidental.
  4. 04/10: “We do not want people wasting money on things we will never use,” she said. Minimalism, carefully curated.
  5. 05/10: He studied the dashboard, tracking who had opened the link. He paused over a ceramic vase. Elegant. Expensive.
  6. THE TELL: He moved it to the top tier. “My tech-lead uncle will open this first. He will never choose the cheaper option.” She nodded without looking up. “Move the napkins to the bottom. So the junior designers don’t feel embarrassed.”
  7. 07/10: By midnight, the dashboard showed forty-one opens. The vase had been viewed nine times. The napkins, once.
  8. 08/10: The link went out at nine the next morning. “So nobody wastes money,” she said.
  9. 09/10: The vase sat at the top of the list. Beautiful. Waiting. Already assigned.
  10. THE MIRROR: The vase sat at the top of the list. The guest who would buy it had not yet been invited. The invitation was already being decided elsewhere.
