- COVER: THE GROUP CHAT SPLIT · A story about a pulse. · Five friends by the pool. The notification arrived on two phones.
- 02/10: The infinity pool overlooked the hills. Five friends. Inseparable since university. Their stories were already live: "Gems for life. #Unconditional."
- 03/10: They laughed over an old joke. Ten years old. They looked like a fortress. Ten years. Five cities. Three weddings.
- 04/10: One woman stood to fetch her sunglasses from the villa. Her phone remained on the deck chair, face up, beside two other devices.
- 05/10: A single vibration travelled across the wood. Then another. The same notification icon appeared on two screens. The same chat. The same minute.
- THE TELL: The remaining women did not look at each other. One flipped her phone face down. The other took a long sip of iced coffee, eyes fixed on the horizon.
- 07/10: Someone proposed a group photo before sunset. The iced coffee sweated on the wood. The chairs stayed arranged the way they always had.
- 08/10: She returned with her sunglasses, smiling as she dropped back into the frame. "What did I miss?"
- 09/10: "Nothing at all." They answered in perfect unison.
- THE MIRROR: The photograph was posted. The caption said unconditional. The screen stayed face down for the rest of the afternoon.
